So, the other night we cut some fresh basil and chives from our garden, and made a pasta dish...it was soooo good! We can't wait till the tomatoes are ready. Anyway, with all the veggies about to be ready from the garden, I decided to add a bunch of new recipies to our Fav. Recipe Blog, which is :
and is also linked off to the side------>>>
Here is the recipe for the meal we used the basil and chives for:
Vermicelli with Fresh Herb Tomato Sauce
7 oz uncooked vermicelli
3 medium tomatoes, seeded and chopped
2 oz (½ cup) fresh Parmesan cheese
2 Tablespoons chopped fresh basil
2 Tablespoons chopped fresh chives
2 Tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon finely grated lemon peel
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 garlic clove, minced
1.Cook pasta, drain.
2.Meanwhile, in large bowl, combine all remaining ingredients. Add pasta; toss gently to coat.
5 (1 ¼-cup) servings
