A Rare Site

This morning was a work day, and usually when I go to get Liam up, he pops his head up as soon as I open the door. This morning he did not wake when I opened the door, and still did not wake when I touched his leg, and called his name. This is quite the rare site, so I ran downstairs to get the camera. The flash from the camera finally woke him, but I just thought it was so cute to see him sleep so soundly...it's been a long time!

Baby Bump Pics (24 Weeks)

Mike took my 24 week baby bump pics today, and I realized that wearing maternity pants is not the most flattering on film...it is true the camera adds weight. Anyway, I was looking over the pictures we had taken with Liam at 24 weeks, and decided to recreate the picture...the hair-do probably gives it away, but can you tell which is which?

This picture Mike snapped as I was getting ready to pose...we both really like the candid pictures best, so I thought I'd post this one.

Then he got creative, and took a close up with no flash...kinda looks like an orange, eh?

Liam's 20 Month Pictures

Saturday we went to our Sis-in-laws family's home to get some pictures taken of Liam since they have all the photo equipment...Unfortunately, Liam was not in a great mood, and we were only able to get a few good ones. 20 months is really a difficult age to get them to sit still and take a good picture...we are probably going to take him to a studio sometime soon, and see if he will cooperate a little better...but here is a picture that I thought turned out really cute!

Liam's First Hair Cut

So we finally decided that Liam really needed a haircut. We like his hair a bit long, but his bangs were getting in his eyes. My aunt Gina is a beautician, so we made an appointment with her. I was a bit nervous because he's such a busy boy, I wasn't sure he would sit still long enough for her to cut it. We had him sit on Dad's lap, and we gave him different objects to distract him, and he did amazingly well!

Here Liam is with Gina...

and the sides....

Ta da!! Doesn't he look so handsome : )

Large Mango! (23 Weeks)

I know it's only been a week since my last pregnancy update, but I have some good news!! I had a follow-up Ultra Sound today since the recording machine was not working the last time. The technician checked the placenta and it has moved, or rather grew enough that it is not laying low! This means the restrictions I was on have been lifted! We are all very happy about that. We got a great video of her moving about, and playing peek-a-boo, and toward the end we can see her opening and closing her mouth....she is sooo cute! Also, her position was breech, which I kinda guessed because I have started to feel more of her movements, but mostly it feels like she is dancing on my bladder. I am guessing that being breech at this point is not a big deal because they are still moving around a lot.

We had been a little concerned about the lack of movement, since Liam was so active by this stage...but last night Mike was able to feel her move!

We are going to try to upload the video...so check back later :)

Park City Art Festival

Today we went to the Park City Art Festival. We have gone all but one year since we started dating 14 years ago. We always go with the intention of buying something, and not to just browse. We just love filling our home with unique pieces of art. Last year Liam was around 8 months old, and we took him with us...but this year, we decided that with my pregnancy restrictions, and his 19 month old grabby hands, that it would be best if he stayed with Grandma and Grandpa for the day. It was a bit of a hot day, and we were there quite a long time, so we were glad we made that decision.

Anyway, we got some really fun and interesting pieces for the house, and a couple for the yard and pergola.

One particular artist, Lisa Telling Kattenbraker, that we have bought from for the last couple of years was there again. Below is a picture of a new one we got from her this year. She makes prints made from batiks that she creates. Her work is just fun and cute and we like them for the kids rooms. Her site is HERE

Below is a new artist that we had not seen before. His name is Lynden St. Victor and we just fell in love with his work. This is the picture we ended up buying of his. He also asked if we'd like him to dedicate the piece to anyone, and we decided to have it dedicated to Liam and Rowan...it was pretty cool, we had never been asked that before. His site is HERE

We got several other prints, and also a couple of new ceramics for the fireplace. We were pretty tired by the time we got home, but we were pretty happy with our finds.
