17 Weeks (End of Month 4)

Starting to show....

The weeks and months are pretty easy to follow, although the months aren't as easy. One would think 16 weeks, would be around the start of 4 months, but really it's toward the end of the 4th month. Below is from a chart I found online to make it easy to follow.

Weeks 1-4 (1st Month)
Weeks 5-8 (2nd Month)
Weeks 9-13 (3rd Month)
Weeks 14-17 (4th Month)
Weeks 18-21 (5th Month)
Weeks 22-26 (6th Month)
Weeks 27-30 (7th Month)
Weeks 31-35 (8th Month)
Weeks 36-40 (9th Month)

So in reality, if you make it to your due date, you are 10 months pregnant!

Ideas for Dinner...

So, the other night we cut some fresh basil and chives from our garden, and made a pasta dish...it was soooo good! We can't wait till the tomatoes are ready. Anyway, with all the veggies about to be ready from the garden, I decided to add a bunch of new recipies to our Fav. Recipe Blog, which is :
and is also linked off to the side------>>>
Here is the recipe for the meal we used the basil and chives for:

Vermicelli with Fresh Herb Tomato Sauce

7 oz uncooked vermicelli
3 medium tomatoes, seeded and chopped
2 oz (½ cup) fresh Parmesan cheese
2 Tablespoons chopped fresh basil
2 Tablespoons chopped fresh chives
2 Tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon finely grated lemon peel
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 garlic clove, minced

1.Cook pasta, drain.
2.Meanwhile, in large bowl, combine all remaining ingredients. Add pasta; toss gently to coat.
5 (1 ¼-cup) servings

Baby #2: 15 Weeks

So the little one is 15 weeks along this week, measuring about 4 inches long (head to rump) , and weighs in at about 2.5 oz., about the size of an apple. I am in my 2nd trimester now, and my energy level has definitely improved. The first several weeks, I was extremely tired, and could hardly get anything done. I'm glad I have my energy back because I really want to stay in better shape this time round. I have been pretty good about exercising and doing my yoga lately, which I think will help a lot. I was pretty good last time too, although we ended up moving about 1/2 way through and then I had no time or energy to keep it up. Anyway, there is not a whole lot to report as of yet...I am starting to show a little, and we are really excited to find out if the little one is a girl or boy in about a month.

Water Fun!

A few weeks ago we found this water table at Target, and knew that it would be the perfect toy for Liam. He LOVES to splash in water. Mike took over 100 pictures of him playing with it the first time. I paired my favorites down to the following 10. Now we just need the weather to warm up, so he can play again!

Later we brought the table over for a dinner with the family. Here is Liam and his cousins playing in the water table too. It was quite the hit!

Rain Rain Go Away...

So I have been a little behind on uploading my pictures on the computer, but last night I was able to organize all Liam's 17 month pictures, and will start to edit them really soon. I do have a few activities that I wanted to blog about, but need to get caught up on the pictures for them. By the way, there are a TON of them, but will hopefully be able to get those done this weekend.

A couple of weeks ago we finally found a patio set (that included a round table, 6 chairs and an umbrella) that we liked at Costco, so Mike, with the help of his brother, picked it up and set it up. The weekend they did that was supposed to be rainy, but thankfully the weather was beautiful! That evening after it was all set up we stayed out there till about 10pm enjoying it. The following day we decided that we wanted to get the other set (which included a sofa, coffee table, and 2 chairs w/ottomans). By that evening, a wind and rain storm was blowing in, so we quickly were able to buy some nice covers for the whole set at Wal-mart. We were so excited for the weather to clear up, so we could enjoy our new furniture, but it has been cold and raining on and off EVER SINCE!!!! And it's supposed to keep raining for ANOTHER WEEK!! I normally would not care, and honestely I know we need the moisure, but 3 weeks in a row is just crazy weather, especially for June. Anyway, I know this weather eventually will have to clear up and we will finally be able to enjoy our furniture outside.

Our Big News!

We will be welcoming baby #2 on December 8th, which is a day after Liam's birthday. Although, if this one comes early too, it could be a November baby. The other day we asked Liam if he could say baby, and he pointed to my belly and said baby several times. It was sooo cute! We think the pointing to my belly was totally random, but we were still pretty impressed. Today marks the 13th week. I had a Dr's appointment yesterday, and he was able to find a strong heartbeat. So far so good. I was also able to schedule our next ultra sound for July 9th. This is when we will find out if it's a boy or girl. We are pretty excited for Liam to be a big brother! Stay tuned for more updates : )
