Hutchings Museum

Met Erica and Cousin Rainier at the Hutchings Museum.  We had the whole place to ourselves, and the guy there even let us pet his baby owl.  Fun day, except Liam ended up getting 3 boo boo's.  Hurt his ear on the jail cell latch, then he fell off the bench, hurting his face and leg...poor guy!

Liam's Field Trip for Kindergarden

It's hard to believe, but Liam is nearly done with Kindergarden?!  With a younger kid at home it isn't so easy to make commitments to help out in the class, but at the start of the year, the only thing I knew I wanted to do was go on the field trip.  It ended up landing on a school day for Rowan, and it was also her graduation picture day, so she could not miss school.  Mike was nice enough to take a day off of work to take her to school, so I could go with Liam.  It was also good I was there, since his arm is still healing and I could keep an eye on him.  Some of the afternoon mom's didn't show up, so he ended up being put with kids he didn't know. It was sad for him, but I still think he had a good time.  The class went to Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove.

Perfect Weather For The Day At The Zoo

The kids have not been to the zoo for a couple of years.  It has changed a lot since, so it was like a new zoo for us too. We have been trying to get all our out-door outings done in the Spring while the weather is nice, and not too hot!  The weather was so beautiful today!  Here are a few pictures.

Easter Train Ride

For the last several years we have been going to ride Thomas the Train on Memorial Day weekend. Last year the kids seemed to enjoy it, but seemed to be on their way to outgrowing Thomas.  We thought it might be the last year...well, it was the last year because for some reason Heber Valley Railroad decided not to do Thomas this year.  When we were looking online for information on it, we saw that they were doing an Easter train ride.  The tickets were less than Thomas, but more than we wanted to spend...then a few days later Mike found a 1/2 off deal on the Daily Herald site. The whole family was around $30 to go. For that price we decided it might be fun.  They had baby animals at the depot which Rowan thought was cool.

Then on the ride home, Mike took a detour up to Sqaw Peak, and we got there just in time to see a bunch of para-gliders launching. It was pretty amazing to watch!!

Farm Time

Took the kids to Thanksgiving point Farm a couple times this month, once with Dad, and another time we met a friend there for a play date for Rowan.
