About a year ago we found these cute onsies at Costco. We were planning a new baby at the time, and we thought it would be soo cute to have Liam in the 'Thing 1' shirt, and the new baby in the 'Thing 2' shirt. And we were right...I love how Rowan is touching Liam's leg in the first picture, and how Liam is patting Rowan's head in the second one. He likes to touch her head and say 'Baby's head' and 'Soft'...so adorable!! Happy 3 months Rowan!!

It Sure Pays Off To Be Persistent
Shortly before our little girl was born our 12 year old washing machine died on us. Well, it started to leak water everywhere, and we figured it would cost more to fix it than it was worth, so we went shopping for a new machine. We were just going to get a new washer since our dryer still worked, but we found a good deal on a set. It came with 2 energy efficient rebates, one from Questar Gas, and one from our power company. The paperwork got set aside for a while, and then Rowan was born and it sat for a little while longer. Finally, I got around to filling it out and come to find out the power company one had a 90 day expiration date. Well, it was only a few days past the 90 days, so I decided to fill it out anyway, in hopes they would forgive a few days. Shortly after that we got a letter rejecting our form for being past the 90 days. I was upset, and tossed the letter in the recycle bin...about an hour later I dug it out, and decided it would not hurt to call them and ask them to reconsider. The nice lady told me that I could write a letter explaining why it was late, and resubmit it...and guess what?!?! We got the check in the mail today! It sure pays off to be persistent : )

Back To Work I Go
I started back to work last week, and so far it's going OK. Before my leave I was working Monday-Thurs. 8 to 4, and had Fridays off. However, with Liam's napping schedule being so on and off, and Rowan not taking the bottle as well as she should, I decided to change up my schedule a bit. Mike has every other Friday off, so during that week, he can be home with the kids on Friday, and I plan to work 8 am to 2:30 pm. And the weeks he is not home that Friday, I plan to work a little extra during the week, and also one evening that week for 4 hrs, probably Thursdays, and have that Friday off with the kids. I know it's complicated, but basically me and Mike will alternate being home on Friday's with the kids. This is going to be a trial basis to see if it works out, so we will see.
Anyway, this morning I just have to mention something really scary that happened to me. I was driving down 800 North in the far right lane, going east at the speed limit which is 45 mph. And out of nowhere I see this red SUV pull out right as I am driving past him/her...had I seen him pulling out before I passed him, I would have honked or slowed down, but he literally pulled out as I was passing his intersection. All I could see was this redness on the side of my car, where my little boy was sitting in the back seat!!!!! My gut reaction was to swerve as far over to avoid being broad sided, and that is exactly what I did, and I am sooooo thankful that no one was in the lanes next to me on my left...I'm pretty sure I ended up 2 lanes over! All I could think to do then was to honk at the guy and flip him off! This person did not react at all as he was pulling out....he just kept going, didn't swerve, didn't slow...he was NOT PAYING ANY ATTENTION to the road! I don't think it's a good thing, but I can understand how people can get lax and distracted while driving down the road, but how can you not pay attention to what you are doing when you are pulling out onto a 6 lane road that is 45 mph?! I am really upset at this person for nearly hurting and possibly killing me and my kids! But I am also very grateful that I was able to avoid being hit, and that no one was on the other side of me when I swerved. Also thank you to Audi for making such a good car that handled so well! I'm not sure how or why this person didn't see me, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE people pay attention to your driving. Unfortunately texting while driving has become a very popular thing to do, and it is so dangerous. It is considered as dangerous, if not more than driving while intoxicated.

Haircut Day For My Boys
So Mike started growing his hair out after Liam was born a couple of years ago. He had a trim for Liam's 7 month professional pictures, but has not had it cut since...till today! He was kinda getting tired of it, so I made an appointment for him and Liam to have their hair cut with my aunt Gina who is a beautician. Since it was so long, he has decided to donate it to 'Locks of Love'...they are a non-profit organization that makes wigs out of real hair for kids with cancer.
Getting ready to leave...
Sooo long!
Getting cut...
Ta Da!
Liam getting a trim.
Mike being silly...
14 whole inches! (that is 4 inches more than the minimum requirement)
Liam's adorable haircut : )
Dad and Liam after picture...so hopefully he won't be called 'Ma'am' at the store anymore!!

Grandma Great
My Grandma Tenney came for a visit a few weeks ago. She met her great granddaughter, Rowan, and saw just how big Liam is since she last saw him. She told me my cousins calls her Grandma Great, and I thought that was a great name for her, so we are going to 'borrow' the name : )
I took a bunch of pictures, and these are just a few of my favorite.
Grandma Great and Rowan smiling at each other.
Grandma Great reading to Liam.
All of us!
