Activities with the Kids (Feb and March)

A.K.A. killing time!  If you follow me on Facebook, you might have noticed an influx of activities posted on there lately...reason 1. is I have a camera phone that actually takes some decent pictures now, and reason 2. is we have been trying to keep the kids busier so they (mostly Liam) don't spend so much time playing games.  Liam broke his arm last month and he can't do the normal boy stuff like ride bikes or play on the swing-set, so we have been planning all sorts of things to distract them and keep them from strangling each other!!  I never remember doing so many things as a kid, but hey I guess times have changed.  Hopefully all our efforts will result in good memories for them!  Although, it still makes me cringe when I hear either of them say 'I'm Bored'...sometimes kids just need to be content to entertain themselves, and just be happy hanging out, don't you think?

Anyway, some of the things we have done lately (Feb and March)

Hanging out at Cabella's
They love the tents the most.

Rowan at her Princess party at Cravings Cupcakes

'Night at the Museum' event at The Hutchings Museum. The kids thought it was pretty cool to pet a live hawk!

March 9, 2014 is when Liam broke his arm falling off the swingset.

 Ice cream at Thanksgiving point

Then we took the kids to the Natural History Museum in SLC, they had a chocolate exhibition going on, which was quite fun!

Then we took the kids to see the new Aquarium in Draper

This is a cuttlefish, Rowan said she wanted to cuddle with him :)

Then a trip to Sheels to check out the store and the Ferris Wheel.

Another trip to the Dino Museum. I like how if they haven't been in a while, they take in new things.  One new thing that happened was they fed the Gar Fish while we were there.  We thought it would be pellets, but no it was live goldfish, Liam thought that was fascinating!!

Anyway, I decided to stop at March and continue another blog for the rest since this is so long!  Can you say spoiled much?!

Wow! That is a lot of fun activities! It will be nice when Liam can go out and run and play without worrying about his arm. He tells me he is bored all the time. I think it is just what kids do:) My mom used to give us a job to do if we were bored, we didn't say it very often:)
