Fall Fun
Kids at our traditional trip to Pumkinland to pick out our pumpkins.
Thanksgiving Point Gardens had 2 days that we could bring our dogs. The weather was beautiful! And they had a fenced off area the dogs could run around...they were in doggie heaven.
Mike happened to see a family activity in Lindon online when he was searching for something else. It is called Stringtown Nightmare Express. It is a free haunted train ride that a family started in 2005, and has become more and more popular each year. We went on a Saturday night. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, but one of the trains was having issues after we arrived, so the wait in line ended up being a lot longer than we anticipated. Regardless the kids were very patient, and had a great time!
Then on Sunday we took them up to Wheeler Farm...the weather was amazingly warm, so it was pretty busy, but finally found some parking and the kids had fun trick-or-treating at the farmer's market. We found some tasty Italian dip, and some really delicious salsa! Kids also had fun exploring the old farm equipment and checking out the ducks. We ended the trip at the park, and got them some pizza before heading up to downtown to pick up our artwork at SLAC.
Finally found some artwork for this space!

Rowan's School Pictures
I never was very happy with the pictures that were taken at the kids last school, so I was pretty excited when I heard that our favorite photo place was doing the pictures at Rowan's new school. When I got the prints though, it was of the 2nd picture below, and while it was a really cute picture of Rowan, I was disappointed that her head was cropped off. When I got home I discovered they had put several other pictures on the CD that we purchased as an add on, and I just love them!! Rowan also kept talking about wearing red glasses, and now I know what she was talking about...just adorable!

First Day of School (Times 2)
Well we all survived the first day of school (times 2). Since the kids were enrolled at Kids Village, and we already paid for it, the school worked it out so the kids could attend for the month of August, which really was only 2 weeks, but I don't think we could have done it any longer than that! Both kids had their first day at Kids Village on August 19th. Since Liam is starting Kindergarten, the public schools didn't start for another week, so that the teachers can meet with them, and do their assessments. So Liam had afternoon K for the first week at KV. Rowan also went M/W/F in the afternoon at KV, and T/TH she went to her new school near home in the mornings. (I know confusing). Then after the first week, Liam started public school near home in the mornings. So for the last 4 days in August he was going to school near home in the morning, then off to KV for the afternoon. I had his lunch all ready, and he ate in the car. The kids actually did amazing!! But like I said, glad it was only 2 weeks?! It was pretty crazy.

August 27th - Kids posing before Liam's first day at Public K
It was so cute, they had music and a red carpet to greet the Kindergarten class!
Think Liam is a little overwhelmed by all the attention : )
Waiting in line on the first day of K.
Taking off to class, he waved. After 3 years of preschool I didn't think I would cry, but I did get teared up a bit...the school is so BIG, up to 6th grade there...he just seemed so grown up! The second day I parked the car and started to bring him in, just to be sure he knew where to go, but he told me at the front entrance that he knew where to go, and I didn't need to bring him inside. I trusted him, and sure enough he was fine! So weird seeing our little boy grow up so fast!!!
