Monday Pick-Me-Up

We took this video on Friday night. We had a dance party with the kids, and apparently our 1 year old has more rhythm than our 3 yr. old?!?! It is really funny to see Rowan dance especially since Liam never really started dancing till he was over 2 years old, and even then I'm not sure if it's really dancing ; )

Rowan's First Hair Cut

Last month, on December 17th, we all went in for a haircut. This was the first time we all went in at the same time, and it was also Rowan's first time getting a haircut. She did amazingly well! Mike took a video, although it was a little tricky because Liam was running around the salon while I was holding Rowan, so we had to keep an eye on him, to make sure he wasn't getting into trouble. Anyway, I still think we got a cute video of her.

Liam's First Play

Last month, on December 12th we took Liam to his first play 'If You Give A Mouse A Cookie'. We had purchased the book to read to him so that he would be familiar with the story, and be excited to go. He had just turned 3, and we have never taken him to a movie or anything like this, so we had no idea how he would do. He was very interested in the new experiance and was very attentive for the first 15-20 minutes, but then he got anxious and wanted to run up on stage, and go down the side isle. Mike had to restrain him for a good part of the play. We tried to distract him and keep him quiet with some snacks, but that only helped for a few minutes at a time. The play was SUPER cute!! And hopefully next year he will have matured enough to sit through a whole play.

After we left, he discovered this interesting metal sculpture.

It was unusally warm for December so before we went home, we took him to the park to play for a bit.

Someone is Walking!!

When we were on our vacation over the holiday Rowan started to take more than a couple steps at a time. She would stop and pat her legs, and sometimes do a little dance, then she would fall to her knees and crawl the rest of the way. About a week later she is now walking across the room!! She is also standing up in the middle of the room without any assistance. I was home today with the kids and was able to capture this video.

You can see at the very start of the video, she stands up on her own. She is by the kids table, but she is not holding on, and you can also hear Liam's commentary about Rowan standing...Pretty cute video : )

Liam's School Christmas Party

Well, pictures are coming along slowly, so I thought I would just blog about the events as I get them done. On December 8th, Liam's school had their Christmas party. And here are a few of the pictures.

This is Liam's teacher, Miss Farrah. I was smiling because she was telling me how great Liam is :)

They had some different snacks to make a reindeer treat. Of coarse Liam wanted to get his hands into all the bowls, especially the M&M's!!

The kids sang songs for the parents. Liam was so excited to get up there and sing! He got right up in front of the crowd, and sang his little heart out. He was so adorable.

Here you can see how cute and magical his school is. They had a really beautiful tree too!!

They had a silent auction to raise money for 2 girls at the school that have cancer. We ended up winning a photo shoot for the kids. Everyone was so generous, and donated what they could to help out. It was a really great way to start out the holiday season!

Well, once again I am behind on my blogging AND my pictures. There was so much I wanted to do over our vacation, but we got busy watching the kids (and lazy) and didn't get much done. But we did do one major thing on our 'To Do' list, and that was to go to a movie!! We did it!!! After 3+ years we finally went to a movie together. We went to see 'True Grit'. It was a really great movie! There are a ton of fun things that I have wanted to blog about, but I think that once I get the pictures uploaded I may just condense it into one update....so stay tuned.
